Cooper County Crash Leaves One Elderly Woman Dead

An early morning crash on November 16, 2010 in Cooper County has left one woman dead, and the other driver with minor injuries.

Alice Wirths, 73, of Pilot Grove, Missouri was stopped to make a left turn at the intersection of US Highway 40 and Oak Alley Dr. She was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Karla White, 46, or Boonville, MO. The collision caused Wirths’ vehicle to travel off the side of the roadway and hit two trees. Wirths’ injuries were fatal. White was taken to the hospital by private transportation. Wirths was taken to the Davis Funeral Home in Boonville. This was the 48th death for Troop F for the year of 2010.
