Hazelwood, Missouri Couple Seriously Injured in St. Louis County Crash

A two vehicle crash in St. Louis County leaves three Missouri residents injured.

On February 12, 2011 at approximately 6:45am, 50 year old Harold Grasham of Hazelwood, Missouri was operating a 1993 Mercury Tracer traveling southbound on US 67 just north of Missouri Bottom Road. Grasham’s vehicle was occupied by himself and his wife, 55 year old Barbara Grasham, also of Hazelwood, Missouri.

At that said time and place, 27 year old Jerry Sumrow was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette traveling northbound on US 67. Sumrow was the only occupant of his vehicle. Sumrow lost control of his vehicle and slid across the center line, striking the Grasham vehicle. After impact, both vehicles went off the west side of the roadway and struck a concrete wall.

Barbara and Harold Grasham were transported from the scene by Pattonville EMS to Depaul Hospital with moderate injuries. The at-fault driver, Jerry Sumrow, was also taken by Pattonville EMS to Depaul Hospital with moderate injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled and were towed from the scene by Hoods Towing. All parties involved were wearing their safety device.
