On September 11, 2011 at approximately 12:30pm, 51-year-old Jim Hopkin from Steele, Missouri was operating a 1995 tractor trailer heading northbound on Hwy 412 at Braggadocio Road. At the same time and place, 45-year-old Lisa Kilsing from Bragg City, Missouri was operating a 2003 Toyota Camry and was heading westbound on Hwy 412. Lisa Kisling had two passengers: 16-year-old Samuel Kisling from Bragg City, Missouri and 23-year-old Ally Cassels also from Bragg City, Missouri. Jim Hopkin did not have passengers at this time.
The crash occurred as Hopkins tractor trailer crossed Hwy 412 and failed to yield to the oncoming vehicle of Kisling. Kisling’s vehicle then struck Hopkin’s trailer. Lisa and Samuel were wearing their safety devices, but Ally Cassels was not.
Ally Cassels suffered serious injuries and was driven from the scene of the crash by a private vehicle to Dyersburg Regional Hospital of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Lisa Kisling suffered moderate injuries and was driven by a private vehicle to Dyersburg Regional Hospital of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Samuel Kisling suffered minor injuries and was also driven by a private vehicle to Dyersburg Regional Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Jim Hopkins did not suffer any injuries.
Hopkins tractor trailer received minor damages and was driven from the scene of the crash by the owner. Kisling’s Camry was totaled and towed from the scene of the crash by Ace Wrecker & Repair of Hayti, Missouri.
