St. Louis County Crash Leads to Fatality for Florissant, Missouri Motorcyclist

St. Louis County crash on MO Route 141 involving four vehicles ends in fatality for one Missouri man.

On September 27, 2011 at approximately 4:23 p.m., 39 year old Brandon Cramer of Fenton, Missouri, operator of a 2009 Honda Civic; 22 year old Brittney Harrington of Fenton, Missouri, operator of a 2004 Ford Ranger; and 22 year old Aaron Becker of Florissant, Missouri operator of a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle, were all northbound on Missouri Route 141 at Gravois Bluffs Road. All three vehicles were stopped for a red electric signal. At that same time and place, 49 year old Roger Weiter of St. Louis, Missouri was operating a 1976 Dodge Diplomat RV, also traveling northbound on Missouri Route 141 behind the above listed three vehicles.

Weiter then failed to stop and the front of his RV struck the right rear of Cramer’s vehicle. The front of Weiter’s RV then struck the front left of Harrington’s vehicle. Harrington was pushed to the right. The front of Weiter’s RV then struck the rear of Becker’s motorcycle. Becker was ejected to the right and struck by Weiter.

Aaron Becker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by medical examiner Liz Dueker and was transported from the scene to the St. Louis County Morgue by Funeral Escorts Service. The at-fault driver, Roger Weiter, was taken from the scene of the crash to St. Clare Hospital by Fenton Fire Protection with minor injuries. The other two drivers involved in this crash were not injured.

The decedent’s motorcycle sustained extensive damage in the crash and was towed from the scene by Miner’s Towing. The at-fault vehicle also sustained extensive damages and was towed from the scene of the crash by Miner’s Towing. The other two vehicles involved sustained moderate damage but were driven from the scene of the crash.

All drivers involved were wearing their safety devices at the time of the crash. All drivers possessed insurance coverage for their vehicles at the time of the crash.

This crash was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper A. Michels of Troop C.
