Missouri residents were taken to the hospital after being involved in a head-on crash in Cole County.
On October 30, 2011 at approximately 2:05 a.m., 24 year old Bryan Veltrop of Eugene, Missouri was operating a 1992 Chevrolet traveling southbound on Tanner Bridge Road, about 1.9 miles north of Wagner Lane. Veltrop was not traveling with any passengers.
At the above said time and place, 20 year old Cole Robinett of Henly, Missouri was operating a 2010 Jeep traveling northbound on Tanner Bridge Road. Robinett was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of Tanner Bridge Road and struck Bryan Veltrop head on.
Bryan Veltrop was transported by ambulance to Capital Region Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries he received in the crash. Veltrop was not wearing his safety device at the time of the crash. The at-fault driver, Cole Robinett, was also transported from the scene of the crash by ambulance to Capital Region Hospital with minor injuries. It is unknown if Robinett was wearing his safety device at the time of the crash.
Veltrop’s vehicle sustained total damage in the crash and was towed from the scene by Broadway Wrecker in Jefferson City, Missouri. The at-fault vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Tow Pro in Holts Summit, Missouri. Neither driver possessed insurance coverage for their vehicles at the time of the crash.
This crash was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper C. North of Troop F.
