On November 16, 2011 at approximately 11:10 P.M., 41-year-old Rickey Mowery from Ironton, Missouri was operating a 1991 Buick Park Avenue heading southbound on Highway 67 at Missouri Route 8. At same time and place, Jeremy Hansell, age 31, from Bonne Terre, Missouri was heading northbound on Highway 67. He had one passenger – Jackelin Rincon, age 28, from Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Rickey Mowery was killed and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Coroner Jim Coplin. He was taken from the scene of the crash to the morgue at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Missouri. Jackelin Rincon, passenger of at-fault driver Jeremy Hansell, was also pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Dr. John Garcia. She was transported from the scene of the crash to Parkland North Hospital in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Jeremy Hansell suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, St. Louis. Neither drivers nor the passenger were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Mowery’s Buick received total damages and was towed from the scene of the crash by Buckley Towing Service from Park Hill, Missouri. Hansell’s Chevrolet also received total damages and towed from the scene of the crash by Buckley Towing Service.
