Stoddard County Crash Ends in Injury

Poplar Bluff, Missouri man is moderately injured after getting rear-ended.

On December 1, 2011 at approximately 5:49 a.m., 39 year old Gary Quinton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri was operating a 1990 GMC Truck traveling eastbound on US 60, three miles west of Dudley. At that said time and place, 18 year old Dustin Teague was operating 2003 GMC Pickup also traveling eastbound on US 60. Teague rear ended Quinton, causing Quinton’s vehicle to run off the side of the road. Quinton was ejected from the car.

Quinton was taken from the scene of the crash to Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter by ambulance. Quinton was treated for moderate injuries. Teague was not taken to the hospital at the time of the crash. Neither driver was wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.

Quinton’s vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Swanks Towing. Teague’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene by Teague. Damage to state property occurred when Quinton’s car went off the road. The vehicle struck a cable barrier, damaging poles and cables.

This crash was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper T. Templemire of Troop E.
