On February 1, 2012 at approximately 5:20 P.M., an unknown driver had parked his/her 1999 Ford Expedition facing east in an alley off Truax Street in Princeton, Missouri and left the scene with three small children in the back seat. Shortly thereafter at said place, 56-year-old Linda Bibby from Princeton, Missouri was walking behind the parked car.
The crash occurred when the parked car, which had been turned off, rolled backwards and crashed into the pedestrian, who fell backwards and struck her head on the gravel surface. The car then crashed into a second car, a 2004 Dodge intrepid, and a house. The car came to rest facing east against the house.
The pedestrian victim, Bibby, suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Missouri and then transported by Lifeflight Eagle to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. The three children were not injured as a result of this crash.
The rolling car received moderate damage and was driven from the scene of the crash. The car that was crashed into received minor damage and was driven from the scene of the crash. Both drivers had driver insurance, and their names are unknown.
