Teen Fatality in St. Clair Crash

In St. Clair County, a teenager dies after the driver lost control of his vehicle and overturned into a creek.

On February 7, 2012 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Brant Boultinghouse, age 16, was operating a 1990 Ford truck traveling in the southern direction on County Road 125. Tanner Barger, age 15, was Brant’s passenger in the vehicle. Both boys involved in the crash are residents of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

At that said time and place, Brant was traveling south down County Road 125, three miles north of Eldorado Springs, along a gravel roadway. Brant then lost control of his vehicle on the gravel roadway and ran off the right side of the road, overturning into a creek.

Dr. Kenneth H. Dugan pronounced Tanner Barger dead at the Cedar County Memorial Hospital. Driver, Brant Boultinghouse, was transported to Cedar County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.

As required by law, the surviving driver was to be tested for alcohol.

Brant’s 1990 Ford truck received total damages and was towed by C & H Wrecker in Collins, Missouri.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Corporal W. Mitch Bush of troop D. This is troop D’s 8th fatality for the year 2012.
