Four-vehicle Collision on I-70

In St. Charles County, one driver strikes the rear of another vehicle causing it two collide with two other vehicles.

On March 15, 2012 at approximately 4:37 p.m., Roger Davinorry, age 73 and of O’Fallon, Illinois was operating a 2003 Dodge Dakota and traveling in the westbound direction of I-70. Kimberly Skelton, age 49 and of Alma, Arkansas was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling in the westbound direction. Franklin Brooks, age 48 and of Cedar Rapids, Iowa was operating a 2008 Suzuki Gran Vitara and traveling in the westbound direction. Lisa Roemerman, age 46 and of St. Charles, Missouri was operating a 2008 Mazda CX-9 and traveling in the westbound direction.

At that said time and place, Roger was traveling westbound along I-70, east of 5th street, in the fifth lane when he struck the rear of Kimberly’s vehicle. From the impact, the collision caused Kimberly to strike the rear of Franklin, which caused Franklin’s vehicle to strike with the rear of Lisa’s vehicle.

Roger Davinorry and his wife received minor injuries from the crash and both were transported by St. Charles ambulance to St. Joseph’s East Hospital. Kimberly Skelton received moderate injuries and was also taken by St. Charles ambulance to St. Joseph’s East Hospital.

All participants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Roger’s 2003 Dodge and Kimberly’s 2007 Tahoe received total damages and were both towed by A-1 Towing. Franklin’s 2008 Suzuki received moderate damages and Lisa’s 2008 Mazda received minor damages as both were driven from the scene of the crash.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop C.
