Three Injured in One-Car Crash in Dade County

When one driver was traveling on Route K in Dade County, she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree head-on, which resulted in injuries for all occupants of the vehicle.

On April 20, 2012 at approximately 7:00 P.M., 57-year-old Joanna Rose from Everton, Missouri was heading west in a 1992 Subaru Legacy on Route K five miles west of Everton in Dade County. Rose had two passengers – Jasmine Rose, age 10, from Everton, Missouri and Lori Vehmeier, age 32, from Everton.

The crash occurred when Joanna Rose lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway. Her vehicle became air-borne and crashed into a tree head-on. All occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Driver Joanna Rose suffered serious injuries and was air-lifted from the scene of the crash to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Jasmine Rose suffered minor injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by ambulance to Mercy Hospital. Vehmeier suffered serious injuries and was air-lifted from the scene to Mercy Hospital.

Rose’s vehicle received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Custom & Classic Towing of Greenfield, Missouri.

This investigation was led by Trooper J. Bryant May of Troop D in Dade County.
