Failure to Yield Causes Moderate to Serious Injuries in Moniteau County

When one driver attempted to cross US 50 in Moniteau County, she crashed into oncoming traffic causing moderate to serious injuries for herself and her victim.

On May 28, 2012 at approximately 1:15 P.M., 32-year-old Scott Bolinger from California, Missouri was heading north on US 50 at Flag Springs Road in Moniteau County while driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. At said time and place, Junita Crawford, age 39, from Clarksburg, Missouri was heading east and attempting to cross US 50 in a 1997 Ford F250.

The crash occurred when Crawford attempted to cross US 50 in front of Bolinger. Crawford’s vehicle crashed into the driver side of Bolinger’s vehicle. Both vehicles skidded off the north side of the roadway.

Bolinger suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. Crawford suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center.

Bolinger’s Chevrolet Silverado received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by the family of the owner. Crawford’s vehicle received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by the family of the owner.

This crash was investigated by Sergeant D. R. Barbour of Troop F in Moniteau County.
