One Seriously Injured After Head-on Collision

In Clay County, a three-vehicle car crash and a head-on collision left one seriously injured and the other with minor injuries.

On May 1, 2012 at approximately 4:21 p.m., Keaton Robertson, age 17 and of Plattsburg, Missouri was operating a 2002 Ford and traveling in the southbound direction. Jennifer Orr, age 35 and of Kansas City, Missouri was operating a 1997 Ford and traveling in the southbound direction. Jennifer’s passenger, Edward Larson, age 35 and of Kansas City was in the vehicle during the time of the crash. Kenneth Dodson, age 66 and of Plattsburg, Missouri was operating a 1998 Ford and traveling in the northbound direction.

At that said time and place, Keaton was traveling southbound on Route C and 164th as Jennifer was stopped in the roadway in the southbound direction attempting to make a left turn. The crash occurred when Keaton struck Jennifer’s vehicle from behind as she was about to turn onto 164th from Route C. From the impact of the collision it pushed Jennifer’s vehicle into northbound traffic and collided head-on with Kenneth Dodson’s vehicle.

Jennifer Orr sustains minor injuries and according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jennifer was transported by a private vehicle to an unknown hospital. Jennifer’s passenger, Edward Larson, received serious injuries and Kenneth Dodson received minor injuries from the crash. Both Edward and Kenneth were transported to Liberty Hospital to receive medical treatment.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, everyone involved in this crash was found to be wearing their seat belts except Edward Larson.

Keaton’s 2002 Ford and Jennifer’s 1997 received total damages and were both towed by GT Towing. Kenneth’s 1998 Ford received total damages and was towed by Ace Tow to Residence in Plattsburg, Missouri.

This auto-crash was investigate by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop A and Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
