In St. Louis County, a man from O’Fallon suffers serious injuries after he was standing in the sunroof of a speeding vehicle when the driver of the vehicle lost control.
On June 20, 2012 at approximately 1:22 a.m., Alex Abrams, age 30 and of St. Charles, Missouri was operating a 2010 Toyota Camry and traveling in the southbound direction on interstate 270. The only passenger in the vehicle during the time of the crash was Jeffrey Morrissey, age 21 and of O’Fallon, Missouri.
At that said time and place, Alex Abrams was traveling on the ramp from the southbound interstate 270 to westbound interstate 70 at a high rate of speed. Meanwhile, the passenger in Alex Abram’s vehicle, Jeffrey Morrissey, was standing in the sunroof of the vehicle when the driver lost control of his vehicle and resulted in the vehicle overturning and ejecting the passenger from the sunroof.
Jeffrey Morrissey suffered serious injuries from the crash and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur by the Pattonville EMS. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the vehicle, Alex Abrams, was uninjured and did not seek medical treatment as he was the only occupant reported to be wearing his seat belt.
This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop C.
