Two Teenagers Crash in Head-on Collision

When one driver crossed the center line on Route K in Franklin County, he crashed into oncoming traffic, incurring moderate injuries and causing moderate injuries for his victim.

On June 6, 2012 at approximately 8:50 P.M., 17-year-old Evan Murphy from St. Clair, Missouri was heading south on Route K 1 mile south of Route 30 in Franklin County while operating a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. At said time and place, David Love, age 17, from St. Clair, Missouri was heading north in a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis.

The crash occurred when Murphy crossed the center line and crashed into Love in a head-on collision.

Murphy suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by St. Clair Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri. Love suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash by St. Clair Ambulance to Mercy Hospital.

Murphy’s Chevrolet Silverado received moderate damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Hoffman’s Towing of St. Clair, Missouri. Love’s Mercury Grand Marquis received extensive damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Hoffman’s Towing.

This crash was investigated by Trooper K. L. Gibson of Troop C in Franklin County.
