Missouri Residents Injured and Vehicle Overturned in Crash

In Macon County, two vehicles crashed and one overturned, causing injuries to occupants in both vehicles.

On August 7, 2012 at approximately 6:45 p.m., Ebeney Magruder, age 33 of Macon, Missouri, was traveling south on US-63 in a 2002 Saturn L100. Ethan Baker, age 17 of Atlanta, Missouri, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier and traveling west on US-63.

At that said time and place, Baker failed to yield to Magruder and crashed into Magruder at Highway M in Atlanta. Baker went off the right side of the road. Magruder also went off the right side of the road, hit a sign and overturned.

Magruder received moderate injuries and was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Macon by the Macon County Ambulance. Baker received minor injuries and was transported by the Macon County Ambulance to Samaritan Hospital.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all participants involved in this crash were wearing their seat belts during the time of the crash.

Magruder’s Saturn received total damage and was towed by Lewis Body Shop in Macon, Missouri. Baker’s Chevrolet also received total damage and was towed by Still Towing in Macon, Missouri.

This auto crash was investigated by Trooper Joseph D. Davidson from Troop B with the assistance of Sergeant Rocky Seiner, Trooper Chad Primm, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, the Atlanta Fire Department, and the Atlanta First Responders.
