Four Injured in Hydroplane Crash

In Pulaski County, a two-vehicle collision injures four after the vehicle lost control and hydroplaned.

On November 11, 2012 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Randall York, age 48 from Richland, Missouri was operating a 1998 Ford Ranger. Christopher Colvin, age 29 from Fort Still, Oklahoma was operating a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu. Teresa Colvin, age 27, and Patrick Colvin, age 7, were passengers in Christopher’s vehicle during the crash.

At that said time and place, Randall York was traveling in the northbound direction on Highway 7, four miles south of Richland, Missouri while Christopher Colvin was in the southbound direction. The collision occurred as Randall York hydroplaned due to the weather conditions and lost control of his vehicle. Randall crossed the center line and collided with Christopher’s vehicle in the passenger side.

Randall York received moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri. Christopher Colvin received minor injuries as Patrick and Teresa Colvin sustained moderate injuries. Christopher, Patrick, and Teresa Colvin were all transported to Fort Wood Hospital. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all participants involved in this crash were wearing seat belts.

Randall York’s 1998 Ford Ranger received total damages and was towed by H & L Towing. Christopher Colvin’s 2010 Chevrolet Malibu received total damages and was towed by Rothmund’s Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of troop I.
