On November 4, 2012 at 8:20 p.m., Gary Green, age 49 from Kimberling City, Missouri was operating a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle. Schaun Donahue, age 34 from Kimberling City, Missouri was operating a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle. Both men were traveling southbound on Joe Bald road.
At that said time and place, both Schaun Donahue and Gary Green were traveling in the southbound direction on Joe Bald road. The crash occurred as Gary passed Schaun at a high rate of speed. After overtaking Schaun, Gary applied his brake and collided with the rear of Schaun’s motorcycle. Both motorcycles traveled off the left side of the roadway into a ditch and were ejected from their motorcycles.
Gary Green was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Later, Gary was pronounced dead by Dr. Timothy Woods. Schaun Donahue received moderate injuries from the collision and was taken to Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Missouri. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither driver was wearing an appropriate helmet.
