Five Teenagers Injured in Randolph Crash

In Randolph County, four teenagers are injured and one is killed after their vehicle overturned several times.

On January 20, 2012 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Steven Dale-Jenkins, age 15 from Macon, Missouri was operating a 2002 Jeep. Steven had four other passengers inside the vehicle with him at the time of the crash; Noah Pitney, age 18 from Moberly, Cameron Hackley, age 17 from Moberly, Clarence Dale-Jenkins, age 16 from Macon, and Lee Sefler, age 14 from Macon, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Steven Dale-Jenkins was traveling in the southbound direction on US Highway 63 on Route B. The crash occurred as Steven lost control of the vehicle and drove directly into the median, which caused the vehicle to overturn several times. The vehicle came to a final rest on its top.

Cameron Hackley was pronounced dead at the scene by Randolph County coroner, Gerald Luntsford, and then transported to Pathway Memorial in Moberly, Missouri. Lee Sefler, Noah Pitney, Steven and Clarence Dale-Jenkins all received minor injuries from the crash and were transported by Randolph County and Boone County EMS to the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lee Sefler and Steven Dale-Jenkins were the only two of the five who wore their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Steven Dale-Jenkins’ 2002 Jeep received total damages from the crash and was towed by Cummin’s Towing.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop B, Randolph County Sheriff Department, and the Randolph County First Responders. This is Troop B’s 1st fatality for 2013.
