Two Aurora Residents Ejected Through Sunroof

In Barry County, two young Aurora adults were seriously injured after their vehicle runs off the road and overturns.

On December 26, 2012 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Jason Kramer, age 22 from Aurora, Missouri was operating a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Amanda Shelby, age 25 from Aurora, Missouri was the only passenger inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

At that said time, Jason Kramer was traveling eastbound on Route C and 2 miles east of Purdy. The crash occurred as Jason’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting both Jason and Amanda through the sunroof.

Jason Kramer and Amanda Shelby received serious injuries from the crash and were flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither passenger was wearing their seat belt during the time of the crash.

Jason Kramer’s 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo received total damages and was towed by Jim Carr Wrecker in Aurora.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
