In Sainte Genevieve County, six people are injured after the at-fault driver traveled into the other vehicle’s lane.
On February 27, 2013 at approximately 8:50 a.m., Rhonda Sexton, age 40 from Sainte Genevieve, Missouri was operating a 2004 Dodge Neon. Garrett Flentge, age 20 from Perryville, Missouri was operating a 2009 Chevrolet 4500 ambulance.
At that said time and date, Rhonda Sexton and Garrett Flentge were both traveling in the northbound direction on I-55 and .2 mile north of Missouri Highway 32. The crash occurred as Rhonda traveled off the right side of the road, collided with three signs, over corrected, traveled into other lanes of traffic, and the collided with Garrett’s vehicle.
Rhonda Sexton received serious injuries from the crash and was transported by St. Genevieve County ambulance to Mercy Jefferson Hospital. Garrett Flentge received minor injuries and was transported by St. Genevieve County ambulance to St. Genevieve Memorial Hospital. Garrett’s passengers, Seth Amschler (24), Blane Kohm (54), Ricky Welker (54), and Patrick Wilson (48) all received minor injuries from the crash and were transported by St. Genevieve County ambulance to St. Genevieve Memorial Hospital.
This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop C.
