On March 5, 2013 at approximately 10:03 a.m., Anthony Coy, age 53 from Clarksville, Missouri was operating a 2010 Kenworth T600. Tanner Wright, age 20 from Farber, Missouri was operating a 2001 Dodge Stratus. Mark Watts, age 49 from Nebo, Illinois was operating a 2007 International 9400I.
At that said date and time, Anthony Coy and Mark Watts were traveling in the eastbound direction on Highway 54 as Tanner Wright was traveling in the westbound direction. The collision occurred as Tanner Wright lost control on the snow covered roadway, entering into the path of Anthony Coy’s vehicle, and Anthony’s vehicle collided with Tanner’s. Mark Watts attempted to avoid collision with both vehicles but his trailer collided with Anthony’s and Tanner’s vehicle.
Tanner Wright’s 2001 Dodge Stratus received total damages and was towed by Ingram Towing. Anthony Coy’s 2010 Kenworth T600 received moderate damages and was towed by Montgomery Salvage Tow. Mark Watts’ 2007 International 9400I received minor damages and was driven from the scene of the crash.
This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop F and the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department.
