Multiple Injuries in Two-vehicle Collision

In Dunklin County, three participants involved in the two-vehicle crash sustained minor injuries.

On April 20, 2013 at approximately 8:28 p.m., Michelle Rodgers, age 21 from Caruthersville, Missouri was operating a 2006 Ford Taurus. Taniesha Hayden, age 21 from Caruthersville, Missouri was the only passenger inside Michelle’s vehicle. Michael Sims, age 26 from Malden, Missouri was operating a 2005 Pontiac Grand AM. Kayla Davis, age 23 from Malden, Missouri was the only passenger in Michael’s vehicle.

At that said date and time, Michael Sims was traveling in the southbound direction as Michelle Rodgers was traveling in the westbound direction on US 412 at Route V and four miles south of Senath. The crash occurred when Michelle Rodgers pulled into the path of Michael Sims’ vehicle.

Sims along with his passenger, Kayla Davis, and the passenger of Michelle Rodgers, Taniesha Hayden, were all treated from minor injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Twin Rivers Hospital in Kennett.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all the participants involved in this crash were wearing their seat belts.

Michael Sims’ 2005 Pontiac Grand AM sustained moderate damages from the collision. Michelle Rodger’s 2006 Ford Taurus received extensive damages. Both vehicles were towed by Higgins Wrecker.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop E.
