On May 3, 2013 at approximately 11:10 p.m., Christopher D. Gorman, age 21 of Fredericktown, MO, was operating a 2003 Ford F150 eastbound on Route F. Adam R. Govero, age 21 of St. Genevieve, MO and James D. Hamilton, age 20 of Anapolis, MO were the only two passengers in Gorman’s vehicle.
At that said date and time, Gorman’s truck traveled off the right side of Route F about .1 miles west of Best Rd. Gorman over-corrected causing the vehicle to return to the roadway before traveling off the left side. The vehicle then overturned and struck a tree.
Christopher D. Gorman was pronounced dead at the scene by Francois County Coroner, Jim Coplin, and was taken to Mineral Area Morgue. Adam R. Govero was taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. James D. Hamilton was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance with moderate injuries. Gorman and Govero were not wearing seat belts.
This accident was investigated by Trooper N. V. Jannin and Sergeant A. E. Reynolds of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C.
