Wheel Pops off Motorcycle and Causes Serious Injuries

In Greene County, two people are seriously injured after their motorcycle’s wheel pops off and causes them to crash on Missouri Highway 13.

On June 9, 2013 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Lawrence Jaske, age 64 of Bolivar, Missouri was operating a 2001 Harley Davidson 3 motorcycle along with passenger Sharon Sisco, age 63 of Bolivar, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Lawrence was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 13 and 1.5 miles north of Springfield, Missouri. The crash occurred as Lawrence’s wheel popped off his motorcycle, which caused him to lose control and crash. The motorcycle overturned and ejected both the driver and his passenger.

Lawrence Jaske and Sharon Sisco received serious injuries from the motorcycle crash and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lawrence and Sharon were wearing safety devices.

Lawrence’s 2001 Harley Davidson 3 motorcycle received total damages and was towed by All Night Towing.

This motorcycle crash was investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop D.
