In Randolph County, the passenger inside of a vehicle is killed and the driver is seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash.
On August 15, 2013 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Daniel Reardon, age 30 of Higbee, Missouri was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer along with passengers Clint Woods, age 31 of Higbee, Missouri and Vickie Palmer, age 25 of Higbee, Missouri.
At that said date and time, Daniel Reardon was traveling in the northbound direction on Randolph Street in Higbee. The crash occurred as Daniel lost control on the gravel road and traveled off the left side, colliding with two trees, concrete porch steps, and a landscaping railroad tie.
Clint Woods was pronounced dead at the scene by Randolph County coroner, Gerald Luntsford, and then transported to the medical examiner’s office in Columbia, Missouri. Daniel Reardon received serious injuries in the crash and was transported by Randolph County ambulance to Moberly Regional Hospital Center and then he was life-flighted to the University Hospital in critical condition. Vickie Palmer was transported by Randolph County ambulance to Moberly Regional Hospital Center with minor injuries.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Daniel Reardon nor Clint Woods was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash. It is unknown if Vickie Palmer was wearing her seat belt or not.
Daniel Reardon’s 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer received total damages from the crash and was towed by Higbee Auto.
This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop B, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, MSHP MCIU, Randolph County ambulance district, Higbee Fire Department, and the Randolph County coroner.
