On September 4, 2013 at approximately 5:41 p.m., Eric Evans, age 33 of Windsor, Missouri was operating a 2001 Pontiac along with passengers; Bonnie, age 22, and Christian Osburn, age 24.
At that said time and date, Eric was traveling in the westbound direction on Main Street and east of Quisenberry Road. The crash occurred as his vehicle crested a hill at a high rate of speed and then traveled off the left side of the road. The vehicle collided with a utility pole, causing it to overturn several times before colliding with another utility pole.
Bonnie and Christian Osburn were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Pettis County coroner, Robert Smith, and then transported to the Pettis County Morgue. Eric Evans received serious injuries and was transported by air evacuation to the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop A, Pettis County Deputies, and the Kansas State Highway Patrol. This is Troop A’s 31st fatality crash and fatalities 36 and 37 for 2013.
