Fatal Head-on Collision

In Bollinger County, a Two Vehicle Crash and Fatality is Caused by a Truck Crossing the Center Line, Involving a Head-On Collision.

On October 10th, 2013 at approximately 8:15 a. m., Sarah Mcfall, age 29 of Scott City, Missouri was operating a 1997 Ford F150. Rose Yamnitz, age 79 of Patton, Missouri was operating a 2002 Buick Century.

At that said date and time, Sarah Mcfall was traveling on Missouri 72 about four mile west of Millerville when she crossed the center line and struck on coming driver Rose Yamnitz head-on.

Rose Yamnitz was pronounced dead at the scene by Bollinger County Coroner, Charlie Hutchings at 9:11am. Rose was transported by coroner to Young & Sons Funeral Home. Sarah Mcfall was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center with serious injuries.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both Sarah and Rose were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Rose’s 2002 Buick Century received total damages and was towed by Yamnitz. Sarah’s 1997 Ford F150 received total damages and was towed by Kosmetic Kar DC.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of by Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office.
