Fatal One Car Crash

In Barry County, the driver of a vehicle traveling eastbound on MO 76 one mile east of Cassville ran off the road and over turned ejecting himself and a passenger.

On October 27, 2013 at approximately 10:07 p. m., Joshua Quinlan, age 32 from Cassville, Missouri was operating a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM. Joshua’s passengers were Andrew Quinlan, age 23 from Cassville, Missouri and Niles Czekiel, age 23 from Washington, Michigan.

At that said date and time, Joshua Quinlan was traveling eastbound on MO 76 when he ran off the roadway and overturned causing Joshua and one of his passengers to be ejected from the vehicle.

Joshua Quinlan was pronounced dead at the scene by Barry County Deputy Coroner Charles McManus. Joshua was transported to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Andrew Quinlan received serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Niles Czekiel received serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Joshua’s 2001 Pontiac received total damages and was towed by Brices Towing out of Cassville, Missouri.

According to the Crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol everyone in this accident were not wearing their seat belts.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D. This is Troop D’s 98th fatality of 2013.
