In Christian County, two Missouri residents are seriously injured after the at-fault driver crossed the median and pulled into the path of the other vehicle.
On October 22, 2013 at approximately 11:20 a.m., Elizabeth Woods, age 24 of Branson, Missouri was operating a 2002 Ford Contour. Gary Smith, age 62 of Ozark, Missouri was operating a 2001 Honda Civic.
At that said time and date, Elizabeth was traveling in the southbound direction while Gary was traveling in the northbound direction on US Highway 65 and 2 miles south of Ozark. The crash occurred as Elizabeth’s vehicle ran off the roadway, crossed the median and pulled into the path of Gary’s vehicle.
Elizabeth received serious injuries and was transported to Cox South by EMS. Gary Smith received serious injuries and was taken by EMS to Cox South. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Gary was the only one wearing his seat belt.
Both vehicle received total damages and were towed by Ozark Tire and Auto.
