Teenage Fatalities in Jefferson County Crash

In Jefferson County, a crash involving two teenage boys from House Springs, Missouri results in their deaths.

On February 15, 2014 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Matthew Roskowske, age 18 of House Springs, Missouri was operating a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire along with passenger, Cameron Stewart, age 15 of House Springs, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Matthew was traveling in the southbound direction on Carol Park Road and just north of Valley Drive. The crash occurred as Matthew’s vehicle traveled to the east side of the roadway colliding with several trees before overturning.

Matthew Roskowske received serious injuries and was transported by Survival Flight to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Dr. Taylor of Mercy Hospital pronounced Matthew’s death later. Cameron Stewart was transported by North Jefferson County ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in critical condition. Later, Dr. Klevene of St. Anthony’s pronounced Cameron dead as a result of his injuries.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Matthew was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Matthew’s 2000 Pontiac Sunfire received total damages and was towed by High Ridge Towing.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop C.
