In Callaway County, a pedestrian was struck while walking along westbound Highway 54.
On March 1, 2014 at approximately 6:09 a.m., Mark Morse, age 48 of Burlington, Iowa was operating a 2004 Kenworth Tractor-Trailer.
At that said date and time, Mark Morse was traveling in the westbound direction along U.S. Highawy 54 and .8 miles north of Route B. The crash occurred as Robert Durigano, age 23 of Fulton, Missouri was walking along the westbound highway 54 when he was hit by Mark’s vehicle.
Robert Durigano received serious injuries and was transported by Staff For Life to the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mark Morse did not report any injuries or seek medical attention related to this crash.
Mark Morse’s 2004 Kenworth Tractor-Trailer received minor damages and was towed by Russ Automotive.
This pedestrian-crash is under investigation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol as they will determine if the pedestrian was on or off the roadway when the collision occurred.
