Passenger Seriously Injured in Ozark Crash

In Ozark County, the passenger inside a vehicle is seriously injured after the driver ran off the roadway and traveled into a ditch.

On April 21, 2014 at approximately 5:45 p.m., Silas Davis, age 27 of Mountain View, Missouri was operating a 1973 International 1210 pickup truck along with passenger Ember Coolbaugh, age 20 of West Plains, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Silas was traveling in the eastbound direction on Missouri Route CC and south of Missouri Route 181 in Dora, Missouri. The crash occurred when Silas neglected to operate the vehicle properly and caused the vehicle to run off the roadway, causing them to collide with a ditch.

Ember Coolbaugh and Silas Davis received serious injuries and were both transported by air evacuation to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, neither Silas Davis nor Ember Coolbaugh was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Silas Davis’ 1973 International 1210 pickup truck received total damages and was towed by Dukes of Caulfield.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop G.
