Four-vehicle Crash Injures Three and Killed One

In Laclede County, four vehicles were involved in a crash that injured three and killed one.

On April 25, 2014 at approximately 9:20 p.m., James Coleman, age 59 of Lebanon, Missouri was operating a 1993 Lexus TS along with passenger Bryant Long, age 49 of Lebanon, Missouri. Angela Even, age 44 of Lebanon, Missouri was operating a 2013 Ford Focus. Dalton Stuckey, age 18 of Lebanon, Missouri was operating a 1988 Dodge Ram. Kevin Taylor, age 27 of Kansas City, Missouri was operating a 1996 GMC Truck.

At that said date and time, Angela Even and Kevin Taylor were traveling in the westbound direction while James Coleman and Dalton Stuckey were traveling in the eastbound direction on Missouri Highway 64 and .5 mile east of Missouri Highway AA.
The crash occurred as James Coleman’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Kevin Taylor and then Angela Even head-on. Then Dalton’s vehicle collided head-on with Kevin Taylor in the roadway.

James Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by coroner, Steve Murrell, and then transported to the Holman Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. James’ passenger, Bryant Long, received serious injuries and was air-lifted by Mercy Air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Dalton Stuckey received serious injuries and was air-lifted by Mercy Air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Angela Even received minor injuries and was transported by Mercy ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dalton Stuckey was the only occupant to have not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

James Coleman’s 1993 Lexus TS and Angela Evens’ 2013 Ford Focus both received total damages and were both towed by New Generation Towing. Dalton Stuckey’s 1988 Dodge Ram and Kevin Taylor’s 1996 GMC Truck both received total damages and were towed by C & S Towing.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop I. This is Troop I’s 4th fatality crash.
