In Miller County, two males of Eldon, Missouri are involved in a collision with a tree that kills the driver and seriously injures the passenger.
On April 26, 2014 at approximately 10:41 p.m., Christopher Young, age 26 of Eldon, Missouri was operating a 2014 GMC Denali along with passenger Colin Campbell, age 26 of Eldon, Missouri.
At that said date and time, Christopher Young was traveling in the northbound direction along Missouri Route D and at Riddle Road. The crash occurred as Christopher’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, over corrected, and then traveled off the left side of the roadway, colliding with a tree.
Christopher Young was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by Miller County coroner, Rick Callahan, and then transported to Hedges Funeral Home in Kaiser, Missouri. Colin Campbell received serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri.
This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop F. This is Troop F’s 6th fatality for the month of April and 15th fatality for the year of 2014.
