Four Seriously Injured in One Car Crash

In Pike County, a driver runs their vehicle off roadway causing it to overturn, and catches fire leaving four seriously injured.

On June 19, 2014 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Kitty Brunner, age 44 of Curryville, Missouri was operating a Ford Passenger Car with passengers Destiny Emerson, age 19, Justin Milstead, age 18, and Josept Nance, age 20 of Curryville, Missouri.

At that said date and time, Kitty Brunner was traveling on Rout K when she ran off the right side of the roadway striking a mailbox. Kitty over corrected and returned to the roadway before traveling back off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment, overturned and caught fire.

Kitty Brunner received serious injuries and was taken by Air Evac to Mercy Creve Coeur. Destiny Emerson received serious injuries and was taken by Vanfar EMS to Hannibal Regional Medical Center. Justin Milstead received serious injuries and was taken by Survival Flight to Mercy Creve Coeur. Joseph Nance received serious injuries and was taken by Vanfar EMS to Hannibal Regional Medical Center.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kitty was the only occupant in the vehicle wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Kitty’s Ford Passenger Van was totaled and towed by Jones Towing.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the assistance of Troop C.
