Rear-end Collision

In Lincoln County, A Vehicle was stopped attempting to make a left hand turn, when another vehicle failed to stop striking the rear of the vehicle.

On June 18, 2014 at approximately 5:35 p.m., Douglas Brown, age 63 of Winfield, Missouri was operating a 2001 Dodge Dakota with passenger Norma Brown, age 59 of Winfield, Missouri. Matthew Duckett, age 26 of Winfield, Missouri was operating a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 Pickup.

At that said date and time, Douglas Brown was stopped on Eastbound Highway 47 making a left hand turn onto N. Chantilly Road. Matthew Duckett failed to stop and struck the rear of Douglas’s Dakota.

Norma Brown received Moderate injuries and was transported to St. Joseph West Hospital by Lincoln County Ambulance. Douglas Brown was not injured according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report. Matthew Buckett received moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by Lincoln County Ambulance.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, everyone involved in this auto accident was wearing their seat belts at the time.

Douglas’s 2001 Dodge Dakota received total damages and was towed by El Rancho Towing. Matthew’s 2006 Chevrolet 2500 Pickup also received total damages and was towed by a Private Tow.

This auto-crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the assistance of Troop C.
