Fatal Passenger-side Collision

In Callaway County, the occupant inside a vehicle is killed after the driver failed to stop at a red light colliding into the right side of another vehicle in the intersection.

On October 14, 2014 at approximately 5:28 a.m., Kenneth Wildhaber, age 83 of Jefferson City, Missouri was operating a 2001 Dodge Dakota along with Lauraine Wildhaber, age 82. Arthur Dorn, age 45 of Troy, South Carolina was operating a 2003 Peterbilt 379 Conventional.

At that said date and time, Arthur Dorn made a left turn from southbound US-54 onto the south outer rd. Northbound Kenneth Wildhaber failed to stop at a red light, traveling through the intersection and into the right side of Dorn.

Lauraine Wildhaber was transported to St. Marys Hospital and then transferred to University hospital in Columbia, Missouri, where she was pronounced dead by Dr. Jeffery Coughenour. Kenneth Wildhaber received moderate injuries and was transported to St. Marys Hospital. Arthur Dorn received minor injuries he was transported to Callaway Community Hospital.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all participants involved were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

Kenneth Wildhaber’s 2001 Dodge Dakota and Arthur Dorn’s 2003 Peterbilt 379 Conventional both received total damages. Kenneth Wildhaber’s 2001 Dodge Dakota was towed by Tom and Steves towing services. Arthur Dorn’s 2003 Peterbilt 379 Conventional was towed by Russ Automotive.

This fatality crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop F. This is Troop F’s 63rd fatality for the year.

On October 14, 2014, Lauraine Wildhaber passed away as a result of the auto-crash.
