Car Crash in Ralls County Seriously Injures Three Adults and a 6 Year Old Boy

A serious car crash occured Sunday April 19th, at 4:00pm, in Ralls County, on Highway 19 at Route Y, just south of Perry, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 1998 Dodge Ram van, driven by Jessica E. Ferry, 26, of Perry, was westbound attempting to cross the highway, and failed to yield to a southbound 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven Michael J. Gibbons, 69, of Galva, Illinois.

Jessica E. Ferry and one of her passengers, Justin R. Haynes, 29, of Hannibal, were both seriously injured in the crash. They were life flighted by helicopter, to the University of Missouri Hospital, in Columbia. Also seriously injured was 6-year-old Joseph Perrigo of Perry. He was taken to Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.

Michael J. Gibbons sustained serious injuries and was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment, by the Ralls County Ambulance service.

Both vehicles sustained total damages in the accident.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Bradley, #185, and he was assisted by Cpl. Bryan, #384, Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, New London Fire Department, Vandalia Fire Department, Center Fire Department, Perry Fire Department and Ralls and Marion County Ambulances.
