Randy M. Hercules of Deepwater, MO was killed in a four vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 65 in Benton County.

The fatality car crash occured on Saturday October 24th, 2015 at approximately 7:45 p.m., on U.S. 65 Highway and Byrum Avenue.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states the accident occurred when a northbound 2006 Dodge Ram driven by Lawrence D. Tucker, 18, Cole Camp, Missouri was passing a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Randy M. Hercules, 51, of Deepwater, Missouri and a 2013 Ford F-150 truck, driven by Kevin M. Gladman, 25, of Stover, Missouri. Tucker’s Dodge Ram struck both the Hercule’s Siverado and Gladman’s F-150.

Lawrence Tucker’s Dodge Ram then struck head-on, a southbound 2009 Nissan Altima driven by Shian N. Swearingin, 18, Hermitage, Missouri.

Kevin M.Gladman’s F-150 exited the roadway and overturned. Lawrence Tucker’s Dodge Ram also exited the right side of the roadway and overturned after striking the Swearingin vehicle.

Randy M. Hercules was pronounced dead at 9:33 p.m. by Dr. Matt Robinson of the University of Missouri Hospital, via telephone. His body was transported by the Benton County Coroner to Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Hercule’s truck was totaled and removed from the scene by Precision Towing.

Lawrence D. Tucker sustained moderate injuries in this accident and was airlifted by Life Flight to the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital. Tucker’s truck had extensive damage and was also removed from the scene by Precision Towing.

Kevin M. Gladman sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Cole Camp EMS to Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia. His vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Precision Towing.

Shian N. Swearingin sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Warsaw EMS to Lake Regional Hospital. Her vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Precision Towing.

This was Troop A’s 40th fatality for 2015. Leading the investigation for the Missouri Highway Patrol was Trooper J W Hunter (848) and Sgt. H A Sears (1200) of the patrol’s Major Crash Investigation Unit’s Team 1. They were assisted by Sgt. M J Broniec (526), Trooper T R Wright (1296), Trooper A A Englehart (247), Trooper W J Luzenko (1340), Trooper B R Dodson (1324), Trooper M L Rice (796), the Benton County Sherriff’s Department, the University of Missouri’s Life Flight, Warsaw EMS and Precision Towing.
