PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. –

A car crash involving a semi truck kills three people Sunday night in Phelps county, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Just before 6:00pm on December 13th, a semi-tractor and trailer driver, Hardeep Singh, 29, from Stockton, California, was allegedly driving too fast for the conditions when he lost control of his 2015 Volvo tractor trailer trailer truck on I-44. He crossed over the median barrier, traveled into the eastbound lanes of traffic and struck a 2013 Dodge Journey SUV head-on.

All three people in the Dodge Journey were from Rolla and were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was Mark Ranney, 58, and passengers Mary Ensign, 85 and Bonny Ranney, 57.

It is suspected that speed combined with the rain and wet roads, were factors in the deadly crash.

These are the first three fatal accidents of December 2015 for Troop I. This crash brings the total number of fatalities in Troop I’s territiory to 26 for the year.

There is no word yet on whether Hardeep Singh will face any charges.

All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 7:10pm, by Coroner Larry Swinfard.

Trooper R.L. Crafton, (344), investigated the scene and was assisted by Cpt. J.W. Remillard (18), Lt. J.A. Bair (128), Sgt. S.J. Childers (563), Sgt. S.W. Cunningham (285), Sgt. R.A. Copeland (308), Sgt. D.M. Hedrick (452), Sgt. J.A. Mulkey (1186), Sgt. P.J. Kemke (982), Tpr. R.A. Tyler (428), Tpr. G.T. Hackett (559), Tpr. M.K. Eden (1326) and Tpr. J.L. Dunmire (244). Victims and their families of this terrible car crash, may have a claim against Hardeep Singh and his insurance company Accord Insurance, as well as other entities. It is common in most cases that victims and/or their families, can recover money for all of their medical bills, lost wages, damages and for the past, current and future pain and suffering, they have or will experience.

A highly talented attorney, will advise the family. They will also collect and organize all of the evidence and medical records, as well as negotiate with the insurance companies on behalf of the victims and their families.
