Head- On Collison Involving Three Vehicles Seriously Injures Three, on Highway 7.

Climax Springs, Missouri- A report from Missouri Highway Patrol’s, Troop A, states that two trucks and one car, crashed on Highway 7 in Benton County, north of Route AA.

The head-on crash occurred on Sunday, June 26th at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The report states that George Duff, 54, of Sunrise Beach, was the driver of a 1990 Dodge Dakota truck that crossed the center line, traveling northbound, and struck a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Sonic head-on. A third automobile, a 1996 Chevrolet pick up truck, driven by Rachel Ferguson, 42, of Versailles, rear-ended Duff’s pickup.

A passenger in the southbound vehicle, Courtney Hail, 26, of Salina, Kansas, received serious injuries, as did the driver, David Gavin, 29, also of Salina, KS. Rachel Ferguson also reported serious injuries.

All injured parties were taken to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.

According to the report, Duff escaped injury and was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Felony assault charges are pending.

The accident was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrols, TPR D C BELARDO, 1314, and he was assisted by Osage Beach EMS service.
