I-44 Semi-Truck Crash Claims the Life of Thirteen Year Old Samantha Woodcock, Daughter of Tiffany Woodcock

Laclede County Missouri-

A tragic crash on Friday morning in Laclede County has claimed the life of a thirteen year old.

The two car and one semi-truck and trailer accident, occurred on I-44 on Friday, December 16th at approximately 7:15 a.m., in Laclede County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states that a 2017 Freightliner semi truck and trailer driven by Maret A. Kumaev, 30, of Brooklyn, New York, was traveling westbound on 1-44 and lost control, striking a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Neil J. Brueggemann, 36, of Beufort Missouri.

After the first collision the semi truck and trailer ran off of the left side of the highway, crossed the median and struck an eastbound, 2015 Jeep Renegade driven by Tiffany D. Woodcock, 37, of Phillipsburg, Missouri.

Tiffany Woodcock’s passengers were Kameron Woodcock and Samantha Woodcock and they both suffered serious injuries in the accident.   Samantha Woodcock later died from her injuries and she was pronounced at by Dr. Siruduppa of Mercy Hospital in Springfield Missouri.

Tiffany and Kameron Woodcock were also transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Brueggemann and Kumaev were not injured int he accident.

The accident was investigated by Trooper C Stauffer, 1209, and he was assisted by Trooper J Ice, 1289, Tropper M Mizer, 186, Sgt. J Riggs, 1162 and MCIU Sgt. B Gruben, 1195.

This is Troop I’s 6th fatality for December and 41st for 2016.

Tiffany Woodcock and her family may have a claim against Protective Insurance Company, the insurance company that insured the semi truck and trailer, Maret Kumaev was driving.
