MORGAN COUNTY MOURNS THE LOSS OF STOVER RESIDENT FORRESTINE HOLMES

Morgan County Missouri-

A fatal crash involving a tractor trailer on Highway 5 has claimed the life of a 62 year old woman from Stover, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Freightliner, driven by David Jantz, 58, of Barnett, reportedly entered the roadway from a private driveway, in front of a southbound vehicle, driven by Forrestine Holmes, 62, of Stover.

The Holmes vehicle, a 2007 Chrysler Aspen, reportedly struck the towed trailer of the Freightliner.

David Jantz was not injured in the accident.

Forrestine Holmes was airlifted by the Staff For Life helicopter to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:48 a.m. on Monday, January 30th on Highway 5, just south of Route O.

Forrestine Holmes was pronounced deceased, by Dr. Ashley Bartels of University Hospital at 2:02 a.m. on January 31st.

The accident was investigated by Trooper S.D. Sears, 1407, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F. He was assisted by Sgt. D.R. Barbour, 171, Sgt. J.A. Oliveras, 900, Cpl. J.W. Collins, 812, Trooper S.D. Turnbull, 1430, and CVO Supervisor S.M. Suling, W025.

This is Troop F’s 9th fatality for January and for 2017.

The family of Forrestine Holmes may have a claim against the insurance company that insures David Jantz’s semi tractor and trailer. It is common in most cases that victims can recover money for all of their medical bills, lost wages, damages and for the past, current and future pain and suffering, they have or will experience.
