Accident Near Cass County Involving Motorcycle Results in Fatality

April 24th at 5:25 PM, on Highway 291 at the south junction of Route 58, Farren Boley, 59, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was killed in an auto accident while operating his 1994 Harley Davidson.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Boley was traveling northbound, while a 2014 Ford Focus driven by Darrel Baylock, 41, of Chilohowee, merged from the left lane into the path of Mr. Boley.

Mr. Boley’s Harley Davidson then collided with Mr. Baylock’s Ford Focus causing Mr. Boley to be ejected from his motorcycle, which then struck a stopped 1999 Pontiac Sunfire that was traveling west. The Pontiac Sunfire was driven by Liam McElroy, 24, of Peculiar, Missouri.

Mr. Boley was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was declared deceased by Dr. Aucar.

No further injuries have been reported.

The accident was investigated by Trooper J. C. Ewing (524) and Sergeant G. D. Ward (1189). Trooper J.E. Thuss (1206), Trooper B.W. Montgomery (1348), the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, and Lake Winnebago Police Department assisted with the incident.
