The victim of Tuesday’s Osage County five-car crash has been identified.

David Harper, 55, of Dixon Missouri was one of six people involved in a crash on U.S. Route 63 at Route JJ. The incident happened at approximately 1:30 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report #180193574.

Five cars were traveling southbound when three of the vehicles were stopped behind a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep was making a left turn when one car struck another, creating a domino effect as two others crashed into the one before it. According to the traffic crash report, the crash happened when a 2013 Dodge Dart driven by Tina M. Fountain, 47, of Ballwin MO, a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Rebecca A. Weyrauch, 32, of Ava MO  and a 1999 Buick Lasabre driven by Harper of Dixon, were all stopped behind a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Tori D. Allen, 26, of Freeburg MO, as it was making a left turn.

A 2007 International semi struck driven by Nathan B. Duff, 30, of Tunas MO, hit the Dodge, which had a domino effect on the rest of the vehicles.

Tina Fountain and Tori Allen also suffered injuries and were tansported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

This is Troop F’s first fatality of April and the 10th for 2018.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved in this tragic crash, especially the family of David Harper.
