On May 18th, 2014 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Melissa Felgar, age 30 of Booneville, Missouri was operating a 2011 Chevrolet HHR. Christopher Hord, age 41 of Columbia, Missouri was operating a 2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Joshua McKee, age 28 from Bunceton, Missouri was operating a 2013 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
At that said date and time, Melissa Felgar crossed the centerline on Route B. side swiping Christopher’s motorcycle, and then colliding into Joshua’s Motorcycle. Melissa then traveled off the right side of the roadway and came to a rest. Christopher came to a rest in the roadway, and Joshua was ejected from his motorcycle.
Joshua McKee suffered serious injuries and was transported by Staff for Life to University Hospital. Christopher Hord received moderate injuries and was taken by Mid-MO Ambulance to University Hospital. Melissa Felgar received minor injuries and was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance to California, Missouri, Mid-Mo Ambulance Base.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all were wearing or had safety devices on at the time of the accident.
Joshua’s 2013 Harley Davidson Motorcycle was totaled and towed by Nash Towing. Christopher’s 2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle received Moderate damages and was towed by Nash Towing. Melissa’s 2011 Chevrolet HHR received Moderate damages and was towed by Stockton Towing.
This crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and with the assistance of Troop F and the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Department, and Tipton Police Department.
