Both Passengers Ejected After Car Overturns

Osage County – Two passengers are taken to the hospital after being ejected from their vehicle Wednesday morning.

On May 8, 2013 at approximately 10:25 a.m., Holly A. Elmore, age 34 of Linn, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier southbound on County Road 601. Steven M. Munie, age 27 of Linn, was the only passenger in the vehicle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred about 0.4 miles south of US 50 when Elmore travelled off the left side of the road causing the vehicle to become airborne where struck a tree and a fence. The vehicle then overturned, ejecting both passengers.

Holly A. Elmore was taken to University Hospital by Staff For Life with serious injuries. Steven M. Munie received moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital. Munie and Elmore were not wearing seat belts.

Elmore’s 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier received total damages and was towed by Tow Pro in Holts Summit.

This accident was investigated by Trooper C. Holzschuh of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F.
