Bradley Pingel of Lake Ozark Missouri is Seriously Injured in a Interstate 70 Crash involving 3 Semi Trucks

Montgomery County, Missouri-

The fiery crash ocurred just before 7:00 p.m., on August 15th 2018, in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70, at the 181 Mile Marker.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report #180501549 states that a 2013 International semi-truck and trailer, vehicle 1, driven by Justin S. Edwards, 37, of Imperial Missouri, caused the 5-vehicle pile up when it failed to stop and crashed into a 2013 Acura RDX, vehicle 2,  driven by Joan A. Beck, 67, of O’Fallon Missouri.

After the intial impact, Beck’s 2013 Acura RDX was pushed into a 2015 Peterbilt semi-truck and trailer, vehicle 3, driven by Wayne E. Winkler, 64, of Seneca, Kansas.

The report states that after the two intial crashes, the 2013 International, vehicle 1, driven by Edwards continued on and crashed into a small Uhaul Box Truck, vehicle 4, driven by Bradley Pingel, 48, of Lake Ozark, Missouri. It is reported that even after the intial impacts, Edward’s 2013 International hit the Uhaul Box Truck with such force that it pushed it into a 2016 Peterbilt Tanker Truck, vehicle 5, driven by Jesse Spurgeon, 38, of Owensville, Missouri.

Bradley Pingel of Lake Ozark, Missouri is reported to have sustained serious injuries in the massive crash. He was rushed to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of his injuries. It was also reported that Edwards sustained minor injuries in the crash and was also taken to Barnes hospital.

Several of the vehicles were reported as being on fire. The crash had Interstate 70 shut down in both the eastbound and westbound lanes for several hours. Traffic was diverted to the north outer road.

The crash was investigated by Tpr. PJ Vroego, 677, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F. He was assisted by Major DA Flannigan, 6, Lt. WV Ahrens, 78, Sgt. JL Arnold, 351, Sgt. DL Braynard, 152, CVO JR Revelle, W233, MSHP Aircraft, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Departement, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and multiple fire departments from around the region.
