Callaway County Crash Results in Three Moderate Injuries


When a Missouri driver pulls into the path of another driver, the two vehicles collide and injuries result for the victim driver and two of his passengers.

On September 21, 2011 at approximately 11:10 am 64-year-old, Thomas Tiemann from Lufkin, Texas was operating a 2002 Dodge heading westbound on US 54 at County Road 211. At the same time and place 59-year-old, Harold Giboney from Kingdom City, Missouri was operating a 2008 Dodge and heading northbound on US 54. Tiemann had two passengers – Bettie Tiemann from Lufkin, Texas and 65-year-old Mary Tiemann also from Lufkin, Texas. Giboney did not have any passengers.

The crash occurred when Giboney pulled into the path of Tiemann, and Giboney struck the side of Tiemann’s vehicle. All involved were wearing their seatbelts.

Bettie, Mary and Thomas Tiemann suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene of the crash to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. The at-fault driver, Harold Giboney, suffered minor injuries and sought his own treatment.

The 2002 Dodge received total damage and was towed from the scene of the crash by Vans Garage & Towing from Kingdom City, Missouri. The 2008 Dodge received extensive damages and was also towed from the scene of the crash by Vans Garage & Towing from Kingdom City, Missouri.
